VISA
Unlock the Gateway to Bhutan. Securing your visa (or permit) is a seamless process that brings you closer to your journey in Bhutan.
All visitors, except citizens of India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, are required to obtain a visa prior to travel. Detailed processes and fees for these exceptions are outlined separately.
As part of the visa application, you will need to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$100 per day per adult (children enjoy concessionary rates). Additionally, there is a non-refundable visa application fee of US$40.
We facilitate the visa application process on your behalf. To apply, you will need:
- A digital copy of a valid passport
- A recent digital passport photo
- Arrival and departure dates
- Valid travel insurance covering the duration of your trip
- Payment details
Once we receive all required documents, your visa will typically be processed within 4 to 5 working days.

ARRIVE BY AIR
Bhutan is served by two national airlines: Drukair and Bhutan Airlines. These airlines operate direct flights to and from Paro International Airport, providing seamless connections to major cities such as Dhaka (Bangladesh), Bagdogra, Guwahati, Kolkata, and New Delhi (India), Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore, and Bangkok (Thailand).
ARRIVE BY LAND
Bhutan has four official road entry points from India: Samtse and Phuentsholing in the west, Gelephu in the center, and Samdrup Jongkhar in the east.
